HP’s Pro M254 color laser printer and the M280/M281 multifunction (MFP) versions have OEM-rated print speeds of up to 21 A4-size pages per minute (ppm) for both color and black-and-white printing and duty cycles of up to 40,000 A4-size pages per month.

The supplies set for all models is made up of four all-in-one toner cartridges, and replacement cartridges are available in two yield versions – standard and high yield. OEM-stated page yields for standard yield replacement cartridges are up to 1,400 pages for black and 1,300 pages for colors. High yield versions are OEM-stated at up to 3,200 pages for black and 2,500 pages for colors (all yields are based on A4-size pages).

All models ship with introductory color cartridges yielding 700 pages (one each of cyan, magenta and yellow). The M254 model ships with an 800 page introductory black cartridge, while the M280 and M281 MFPs ship with a standard yield 1,400 page black cartridge. All cartridges require a chip for correct printer operation.
